Lila Tries to PODCAST?! | Lila’s Bookish New Year’s Podcast

Hey, y’all, it’s Lila! Today I’m bringing you something a little…different. While I know I’m pretty good at writing, I often find that I express myself better out loud. I’m an extrovert so speaking has always come easy for me and, for me, writing has always been kinda like an extension of speaking. Given this, I thought it might be really fun to try making a podcast. So I did just that! I decided to record myself doing a bit of a 2017 bookish recap and a look forward at bookish things I’m looking forward to in 2018, as well as my bookish and blogging plans for 2018. So here it is! My first ever podcast! (squee!) It’s a little rough around the edges (I mean, if I hear myself say “um” or “uh” one more time, I swear to god…), but I’m still really proud of the outcome. I’m hoping this will be the first podcast of many and hopefully you guys will enjoy it too. I’d love to hear your responses to the things I discuss in the comments!

But enough rambling! Without any further ado…Here’s the podcast…

I discuss my best and worst reads of 2017, some of my most anticipated books of 2018, and my bookish and blogging resolutions.

  1. I love listening to podcasts while working and I’ve been looking for bookish ones, so this is awesome! I started listening to this and it sounds very good, well done! 😀 Your audio quality is fantastic by the way. And the “ums” you mentioned are not annoying or bad, they just reflect how natural your recording was and it feels like I’m listening to a friend talk to me, you know? I’m going to save it for next week when I go back to work!
